Etching & Inking up an etching plate.

These are very flexible courses allowing you to use the best technique to suit your ideas and drawing style. As well as exploring Printmaking in its many different forms, we shall look at the presentation of framed, and unframed prints.
This course also provides encouragement and opportunities for students to exhibit their work - if they so wish.

Drypoint on Perspex- by scratching lines directly into the plastic you can make an image for printing. The beauty of perspex is it can easily be cut into shapes, and because of its transparency, images can be traced through it. The finished "plate" has a ghost-like scoring quality, not unlike etched glass (see below).
